“Please check the photos. This is the Izariyama approx.30’size from Kyoto. A Namito, Namazu shows partially but not so soft. Izariyama located in North West area in Kyoto, a mine so called Nishimono. Good for chef knives, in the process of pre-finishing to finishing.  Rare & Hard to find Izariyama itself these days ! Water absorption is very good, The feeling of sharpening with Izariyama is smoother & quicker than Aoto,  it means strong abrasive power. The backside is concaved but the flat area somehow secured. Better set it on the wet towel or base for avoiding wobbling. Apart from the sharpening face, sealed lightly.  Please note that these are not for beginner sharpeners since they’re harder to use.These are natural stones meaning that every single one of them are different so my measured size are not accurate. This is a life time investment for people who lives sharpening their knives and tools, do not hesitate to ask me your questions.”
