Description


Please check the photos. This is the Shohonyama Hakka-Yama ( Mount Hakka/八箇ハッカ） from Kyoto, For Finishing knives. Hakka mountain so called ”Nishimono” western area of Kyoto already closed times ago, hardly ever find this rare one in Japanese market. Beautiful pink/yellow gradation shows on the surface. Smooth & quick cut, enable to make the blade hazy finish. There are lines contains impurity but after a few times of flattening, it seems to be disappeared. Please avoid this part until it disappears when sharpening. Backside, there is a crack line & Kawa (stone skin)appears. We already sealed lightly but better do it more for avoiding further cracking. Please note that these are not for beginner sharpeners since they’re harder to use. I would rather offer this to collectors who love Japanese Natural Whetstone ! These are natural stones meaning that every single one of them are different so my measured size are not accurate. This is a life time investment for people who lives sharpening their tools, do not hesitate to ask me your questions.
