The Seahorse Whittler, an exclusive knife to Case, was introduced in the spring of 2002. Case got the idea from their forefathers at Joseph Rodgers and Son from Sheffield, England. Their knife, the Wharncliffe Whittler, was named after a noble Englis Patron by the name of Lord Wharncliffe, Case got the name for their knife from the unique shape of the handle which is similar to the curved shape of a seahorse. The wharncliffe blade, which is crafted from heavy-gauge steel and is the master in the whittler configuration, lies alone at one end of the knife. Detail work is also accomplished with the coping and pen blades that rest on the opposite end of the knife. This one has an ocean blue colored peach seed jig bone handle.
